Have you ever backed out on doing something you promised you'd do? Did you have a good reason for going back on your word?
Submitted by enSue.WOW! Have i ever - i can't even count the times. Now, don't get me wrong, it's not like i go around deceiving people. Or promising things without the intent to deliver. But here's a list of outstanding things i have told someone i would do.
Write to my father
Mail my father's mail to him
Trim the rose bush
Take old clothes to Sally Anne
Bring the soft plastic recycling and batteries to work.
Send flattened faeries book to German friend (about 8 years old, but still on my mind)etc etc etc
I wish i could be one of those people who does everything they say the will. But i can rest assured knowing that i do the important things. Although, i think my dad would argue that his mail is important.
If you knew you had one week to live, what would you do, where would you go, who would you see?
Submitted by normatheartistOn the side of easy questions, i'd grab derek and head up to see my mom. And there we'd stay, cozy and warm and talking about all the things we've always wanted to talk about. but never did.

What are three things you want to learn, and three things you can teach others to do?
Submitted by bookishbiker. There are many things i would love to learn how to do - but if i had to pick a top three, i would have to with: To Sing, To paint and draw, and to dance. Probably all things i would have to have a little base talent to start with.
I also like to think that i have many skills that people could learn from, but some of the things i think could teach quite well are: cooking/baking, computers and fitness (although i'm not really in fitness mode right now, there have been times).
What modern book do you think will be read in high school by the next generation of kids?
Submitted by Tom.Possibly just in Canada, but i think it should make the grade throughout the world.

Where do you go to get away from it all?
Submitted by Hops.My first thought is my bathtub, with a book, and a glass of wine, and candles. but i'm not sure that i have ever actually done that. I think when i actually need to get away from it all, i go to sleep.
Tell us about a lesson you had to learn the hard way.
I was raised by a single mom in the 70's and 80's. Before single parent hood was really common. She was (and is) a very hard working, morals driven woman who truly believes that all people are equal, and every person has the same rights to equality.
She raised me to believe this as well, and i do. She raised me to believe that i can do anything i want, that i can be anything i want and that everyone should be treated with the same respect regardless of, well, anything.
What she forgot to mention is that the rest of the world does not feel the same way. It was, and is a hard lesson that women still get paid less, that minorities still get fewer jobs, that people still get harassed for things beyond their control, that women get treated very differently in the workplace by their superiors and their peers, both male and female. That women are still required to be more complacent and nice and friendly etc etc etc.
I have been fired from many jobs - all of which for my attitude. For making demands and requirements, not settling for less and not allowing myself to be overlooked or walked on. My behavior has never been worse then many a man i have worked with, but still it is considered unacceptable. I am still working on becoming a little more complacent, against all my better judgment, but i do what i have to do to stay employed. I'm learning to use the things that make women unique to my advantage, again, against my better judgment. It's a day to day struggle, but i'm learning.

Have you been affected by the pet food recall? Has it changed the way you feed your pets?
I recently switched to Happy Paws (http://www.happypaws.ca/), witch is a local, all organic pet food. I have been wanting to do it for years, but it's quite costly. When the pet food recall happened i was very glad i had made the switch - and if i hadn't already, this would have put me over the edge.
